Welcome to HotelGuide.Networks' directory of hotels and hotel reviews for New York, New York!

Always worthy of a juicy bite, the Big Apple -- also known as New York, the City that Never Sleeps -- boasts Broadway shows, exceptional exhibitions and attractions, global cuisine, and unparalleled shopping. In 2007, a record 46 million visitors took a bite, including almost 9 million international arrivals, making NYC the nation’s top destination from overseas. Lodging ranges from chic budget, sophisticated boutique, and value-priced hotels to posh spots. Newer hotels include spas, stylish restaurants, rooftop lounges, and pools with skyline views. The expanded Jacob K. Javits Convention Center has a 1,500-room headquarters hotel.

Lower Manhattan redevelopment embraces the 52-story World Trade Center, the first steel support columns of which were erected in December 2006, and the 1,776-foot Freedom Tower with rooftop restaurant / observation deck, set for a 2010 opening. The WTC Transportation Hub, planned for the site's northeast corner at Church and Vesey Streets, is scheduled for completion in 2014, and will connect the World Financial Center to MTA's Fulton Street Transit Center, PATH trains and Hudson River ferry terminals via 13 subway lines and an underground concourse, with a proposed additonal link to JFK Airport. The new Yankee Stadium at Macombs Dam Park in the Bronx, across the street from the original Yankee Stadium, hosts its first game in the spring of 2009. South of the new Yankee Stadium, the new partially completed Harlem River Esplanade, providing a public park and green zone along the Harlem River between 125th and 145th Streets, is scheduled for completion in 2016, with public access to the riverfront via the old Bronx Terminal Market also to be upgraded with a new retail Gateway Center as the focal point of a major New Haven neighborhood revitalization project scheduled for completion in the fall of 2009. New York City's hotel room inventory exceeded 73,000 in 2008, and increases by around 2,000 new or renovated rooms per year, from modest to luxurious.
